During the last fortnight we have seen the new Samsung Galaxy S4 officially unveiled with the device set to hit UK stores towards the end of April. We now expect to see masses of accessories launched to accommodate the new phone but the most impressive one we have seen so far is the new Game Pad, a device by Samsung that should turn the S4 into the ultimate mobile gaming handset.
The new Game Pad is produced by Samsung and is set to be released alongside the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the end of April although no confirmation has been made yet about which markets will see the arrival of this impressive new product. The Game Pad is designed to work with the new S4 and we have been promised that future handsets that are launched will also be compatible At the moment it looks as though older devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 will not work with the device though. In terms of design the Game Pad looks every inch the traditional games console controller but one that will house a handset in the landscape position to create a complete mobile gaming unit. Screens up to 6.3 inches in size can be used with the product so we are excited to see the new Galaxy Note 3 running on it later in the year. To connect with the S4 Bluetooth technology is used to ensure very high levels of responsiveness and stability.
One look at the new Game Pad from Samsung and it is obvious that the company have looked closely at console controllers when designing this product. The Game Pad features two analogue sticks to provide precise control and these are also joined by a familiar D pad. Four main action buttons are housed on the front of the device while an additional two shoulder triggers are also present to help deliver the best gaming experience possible. In terms of power consumers will not have to worry about charging the new Game Pad as it runs on AA batteries which is also very handy as it means spares can easily be carried around. When purchasing the Game Pad for the Samsung Galaxy S4 eight free games will be included in the price of the device and we are told that eighty existing titles are currently compatible.
When you combine the Game Pad with the awesome processing power and excellent screen of the Samsung Galaxy S4 you really do have a superb piece of mobile gaming hardware.
